we all voted the marines for our game because no one man was any braver than the rest, i saw acts of heroism, team work, courage under fire, and cool heads amongst often conflicting shouts and calls. well done troopers, damn proud to have been your commanding officer, HOORAH!
The Chimera 2012 People’s Choice for Outstanding Game: 13 Angry Men With Guns, by Matt Swain and Jackie Brasfield
OK so technically I already knew about this (Jackie let me know) but wow. Just wow. Thanks guys’n’gals

OMGoodness. Chimera attendees you have my utter utter utter most thanks. You sincerely do. Thank you to everyone for being so incredibly generous and supportive with your voting. It’s such an incredible privilege getting to act alongside so many wonderful players and wonderful people in every game no matter the game. As has always been said, acting is reacting and being able to react from other people’s incredible in-character player choices made the weekend that much more exceptional and exceptionally fun for me. And everywhere I looked the costumes where just blowing me away! So incredibly impressive! And so encouraging and inspiring! I’ve learnt so much from watching you all this year and last year and I’ve grown so much from your amazing efforts. Thank you.

I don’t know about you guys but there are amazing things happening this week for me. Or there are meant to be: bringing over international film celebrities, Fox film premiers and organizing NZ’s amazing young scriptwriters. There’s so much amazing happening this week. I was absolutely convinced I’d have ample distraction to keep me occupied from the sads that set in after Sunday night. How mistaken I was. Despite the awesome that’s meant to happen this week, if I’m honest, I’d rather be in a scout hall surrounded by old and new friends pretending to be someone (or something) and lining up for plastic cutlery in a different outfit for every trestle tabled meal. I miss you guys: players, GMs, organizers, helpers, transporters, and in all of those groups: friends. Thank you so so much for an incredible weekend of both really memorable and enjoyable experiences. Thank you to anyone who voted for me in whatever capacity. If you did then we were likely playing in the same faction in a game and if so, please accept my sincerest thanks for making my game so enjoyable by your awesome input. Thank you players for making my games what they were and thank you for playing with me. Thank you GMs for writing or finding my characters, for running games, and to the organizers for making the games I played happen and to the helpers and partners that kept Chimera going. Thank you to everyone who’s posted kind words and kind comments on the forums. Thank you for playing with me and dressing up with me and making Chimera the amazing success that it was. I feel honoured to be allowed to attend this event. And so amazingly grateful and humbled to have received any votes at all. You guys are incredible. I love you all. I’m so so honoured to be on that list. You guys are amazing.

Hannah

I know I’m a little biased but just wanted to say congrats to Reuben for winning the Tournament, has had been training really hard and had only just started LARPing at the last Teonn so I think he did awesomely

Also, as his lady… swoon

Least Efficient Solution to a Problem (That Still Worked): Shaun Gibson
Um, Standout Roleplayer should have been Shaun Gibson. Nothing against Sam, I totally would have chosen him, except he didn’t actually play in Sabretööth.

Thanks for doing all the hard yards in compiling the lists, though
