Chimera 2010

Yay! Are you two coming to my game? Huh? Huh?

Wish we could - Mum & Dad have asked that we keep Sunday free for a family Lunch.

Still… anything is possible…

New game! The final one for this year, bringing us to 21 games in one weekend:

A Dead Man’s Chest
by Freeform Games
Two pirate crews descend upon the sleepy Caribbean island of Santo Oloroso to avenge the death of their former master Captain Flint,or to find and grab his treasure. Old enmities will surface, deals will be made and broken, and some folk will swing from the yard-arm while others receive the dreaded Black Spot, before these affairs are settled for good or ill. A live action pirate game to be played down on the beach. For costuming, think golden age of piracy, think “Pirates of the Caribbean”!

See, this is why I can’t come on Sunday. So I don’t have to choose between zombies in the South and pirates.

It depends on what you want to do. There isn’t any certifiable action in the Presidents, so if your looking for action, go with the Pirate Game…

so the pirate game is on sunday? coz its not on the timetable yet

It’s on the website now - it takes me a while to catch up sometimes.

And now there are 21 games, which is pretty impressive.

So, which game do I play in to be an alien, a ninja or a demon lesbian?

You can definitely be an alien in Vox, and possibly a ninja in Jade Empire?

Demon lesbian… I suspect that role is an Easter egg, you’ll just have to cross your fingers.

You can be a demon lesbian in the Soap Opera larp. Pretty much anything goes there

On a more serious note, we have an extended blurb from Zane about “A Feast of Crows” (Sunday afternoon):
What would you do in a world where organ cloning was legal, and even encouraged? Where you can drink as much as you want and just get a new liver when you needed it? Where there is no risk of organ rejection, as they are all grown from your very own DNA?

You can live longer, take more risks and live life on the edge. In such a world FASHION takes over, and the pursuit of beauty becomes the norm.

Provoke Fashion has recently purchased the luxury yacht “The Crows Nest” and is about to take a cruise through the Pacific looking for that perfect shot for their new advertisement.

The subject of this advertisement campaign is yet to be announced but the fashion industry is waiting for this middle-weight company to once again spring board further into the playing field.

So come and see what Provoke has in store for you…

The game is an experimental modern-fantasy. All roles bar two are gender neutral.
If the Soap Opera LARP is anything like ‘Sunset Beach’ (which my flatmates and I used to watch at university), then a demon lesbian would actually be quite tame…

There are no ninjas in the empire…just very dedicated park rangers :stuck_out_tongue:

and for once they aren’t German

All the game masters running games at Chimera 2010 should now have access to the backstage game masters’ forum. If you cannot see it, let me know urgently.

I would like to commend the efforts of the Chimera 2010 organisers.

It is possible to partake in a Live Action Role Playing Combat game in all time allocations of the weekend with the exception of Satuday evening.

I would like to extend my thanks to the team for organising LARP’s through out the weekend of Chimera and as such striving to make this a potentially fantastic weekend of combat madness.

I am currently pondering changing my status from “This sucks” to “Hmmm combat?”

Yours sincerly,

The Diatribe Troll.

ps: I’m not trolling - this is awesome.

i don’t get it tho, you are attending saturday evening :stuck_out_tongue:

yay for all the sign ups!

I think the key word there is Combat. Not all larps will have combat

I know not all “LARPs” will have combat I was commenting that it is possible to play in a LARP at every session. Meaning one (in this case me) can hit stuff during each segment of the weekend…

Why exactly do you feel the need to ruin this?

That comment was for Prema, not for you adam. It was answering her question.
