Chimera 2009 has been booked in for the weekend of August 21-23rd, at Motu Moana Scout Camp, which is the same place as this year.
What’s Changing?
Next year, instead of a single event on the Sunday, the Sunday format will emulate the Saturday format, that is to say, two time slots with three games. Otherwise, the format will remain the same.
We hope to be able to keep costs the same as this year, though the venue has raised their price by 50% so there may be a slight increase. We apologise for this.
Help Wanted
In order to make Chimera 09 run smoother and more efficiently, and to allow us to grow, we need a few extra hands. Specifically, we need another 2 people for the core organisational team, and a few other people for miscelleanous tasks on the day.
Run A Game
We are accepting game submissions for the next Chimera. Your game must fit into three hours - this means allowing half an hour for briefings, two and a half hours of game play. This is a great opportunity to explore interesting larp ideas. Games must be written for 20 people or less.
Campaign games are strictly invitational. We are trying to keep them to a minimum in order to encourage out-of-Aucklanders to attend.
Please submit your game idea to me via PM or email chimera@nzlarps.org
We have a fair few game slots to fill up, so don’t be shy, send your ideas in
Website
We hope to have an updated website running in November. The Chimera email address will always be functional.
Feedback?
If you haven’t yet filled out the feedback form, but want to make your thoughts heard, please feel free to go and fill out now. Your opinions do matter to us. We want to make this event as good as possible for you.
We hope to see many of you at Chimera next year
