Chainmail halberk and other chain for sale

Hi all
I have a full sleeved horseman split halberk of chainmail to sell.

Size: made to fit a skinny ass with gambeson, so med sized, but I can widen at the expense of length.
Links: 1.3 cm outside diam, 1 cm inside diam. Unbutted 1.6? mm spring steel.
Pattern: 4 in 1
Cost: $650 ono, add $100 if you want me to butt the links (totally unnecessary, but gets more kudos on close examination)

I will make one round of distribution adjustments to better fit whoever buys it, but can’t add any links as these were the last.

Also for sale
Chain coif
Links: 2 cm outside diam, 1.8 cm inside diam. 1.6? mm spring steel. 4 in 1
$100 ono
Good for LARP or display, but a bit light for effective armour

I also want to clean out my chain odds and sods… I have an interesting variety of links of quantities suitable for making small items. Does anyone want custom-made…

Chainmail bikini (2 piece) (will be lined with leather and tied with thongs)
Chainmail jockstrap (lined and thonged as above) for the barbarian of the house…
Bishop’s mantle (neck protection) - a great way to look lightly armoured for little weight and effort
Avantail (you supply the helmet)
Gloves
Chain necklaces / belts / wrist straps / other decorative looks…

I can do spiral chain, full box chain, light box chain, Japanese pattern, and combine links of different sizes and metals to make an item totally unique to you. Prices depending on order

Cheers
Anna

do you do stainless aventails?

Hi Derek

The only stainless steel links I have is butchers chain - would that work? I don’t have any stainless links of normal weight and size, and I’d rather not buy any: object of the exercise is to get rid of some of the excess stuff. If you have some I can easily make an avantail.

Otherwise I do have some rivitted chain bits which are treated to be rustproof - some dark, some nearly white that I could shape into an avantail, but I’d either have to use non-treated spring steel links to sew it together, or we’d have to come up with some way of reclosing opened links, as it’s mild steel and I do not have the equipment to make rivetted chain myself.

Hope that helps
Anna

PS - anyone interested in chain: I don’t get on this site regularly to check things - call me on 0273411148 if you want a quick answer
