While considering how I plan to run campaign larps, I wonder if there is a lower limit to how many sessions are acceptable for a participant (that’s you) to consider the campaign worth investing the time, money, and effort to attend. I realise New Zealand commonly has campaigns with 6 sessions, or thereabouts, but I wonder if you would still be interested in a campaign if it had less than the standard 6.
For the sake of leveling the expectations of all of you, let us assume the following about this hypothetical campaign;
[ul][li]Each session is a weekend long (from Friday evening until Sunday midday/afternoon)[/li]
[li]The themes of the campaign are those that interest or entertain you[/li]
[li]Your friends are going too[/li]
[li]The organisers are people you trust to do a good job each session[/li]
[li]The food is tasty, and you are fed enough that you won’t go hungry[/li]
[li]The venue is within acceptable travel distance from where you live[/li]
[li]You are able to create/acquire a costume within acceptable amounts of effort and money[/li]
[li]The rules of the larp are to your liking[/li][/ul]
I think that covers everything. If there’s anything I’ve forgotten, or that you consider important; let us assume that whatever it is, it is taken care of/acceptable to you.
