The comment certainly wasn’t planned to get a rise out of anyone and as Ants said, was supposed to be somewhat tongue in cheek. I’m sorry to have caused offense and that you felt the need to make it personal. 
Context is great. The first time I looked at this bit, I was wondering why Jon was so annoyed about men wearing tail coats.
It is noticeable that some games seem more popular with women than men, though. Or is that partly because of the overall Wellington larp gender ratio? Anyone got stats on how many of which gender came to Hydra to use as a proxy?
