BattleCry Mad Victorian Hatters Steampunk Tea Party Picnic and Games Day
ASB Stadium, Kohimarama, Auckland
Event opens to the public from 9am closing around 5pm.
On the back field of Selwyn College we will have all sorts of games for people to try out, including croquet, petanque and a wide range of Victorian games like 3 legged races, sack races, tug of war and more. The upper part of the field will be for games and picnicing so bring along a lunch and a rug and enjoy the views.
The lower part of the field will be dedicated to kite flying and the KiteWorks people will be there to show people how to fly kites. There will be some prizes given out for home made kites so have a go.
Costume is highly encouraged and later in the afternoon there will be a costumed parade for those who wish to take part and prizes will be given out for costumes and Mad Victorian Hats.
The Alfs will be trying to lay claim to the BattleCry lands, and we are looking for help to muster the Kaos hordes to fight to hold the lands for another year. The battle will happen around noon so if you wish to help out bring a paper sword 
There is talk of a possible mini larp being organised for part of the afternoon and large versions of games, even games where people are used as the pieces.
The whole event is free, and should be fun for the whole family so please pass this on. More information will be posted as it is confirmed.
