BattleCry 2011 - 18th, 19th, 20th February

Announcing a late addition to the workshops being run at BattleCry. On Sunday morning from 9am to 10:30am Kara Jensen is running a make-up workshop covering how to apply wounds and scars. This will be a hands on workshop where you get to do what is being demonstrated on your arm or a friends. Come along paired up and scar your friend

Please bring along a small towel or cloth for clean up afterwards (please no make-up messes in the bathrooms) and we ask you to pre-register on info@battlecry.co.nz or on Saturday at the front registration desk. We also ask for a donation which can be paid at the front registration desk to cover the costs of the make up and equipment, thanks.

 why yes… we have loads of awesome props and decorations on loan from First Scene and the SCA and the space without all the usual seats/tables is a rather large open space with excellent lighting with access to an outside area as well…

By the time we have finished with all the drapery and props you will never recognise the space…

We got rather inspired by how Kapcon can turn stark glass box classroom areas and turn them into exotic places from far away lands.

Bad Dreams: The Hidden starts at 8pm tonight. Meet up at the Stadium at 7:30pm for a briefing. If you are at the set up birthday party that will give you some time to help set up and eat pizza before playing.
Derek has offered to run a workshop on “in his words”:

“Demonstrating the basics of creating a larp safe weapon using a fibreglass core, EVA foam and a latex outer. The demo will take about an hour and there will be other weapons, armour, shields etc there people can take a look at. If time permits then I may be able to demonstrate wax hardening leather as well.”

This will be held on Saturday 19th February starting at 11am
This is tomorrow. Come and learn!
