Bad Dreams: Alien. Need someone for logistics

Well, if there’s the players I’d be happy to run it twice or run another game. As for heads, this game only needs one. :smiling_imp:

I’d play, But It would be good to be run more than once. We sneeze and fill 20 player games here

Might be possible to find a place that can run two streams?
Problem is getting a place that is accessible from outside multiple ways.

More likely and afternoon and night stream I would think. Or concurrent days. The first option is cheaper of course and preferrable I would think

Yeah that would work. (duh) - How about the hall that Jenni ran Silver Kiss in? In Brooklyn, does that have access doors all around? Or Northland hall, but think thats only got 1 front door. Unless I’m mistaken.

Possible location? 3 exits marked in green, couple of side rooms on the left, more at the bottom with toilets and a stage.
We could hang string/rope across the hall quite easily, then put black cloth over it for makeing the hallways.

Works for me

Chris, if you need a hand making set dressing stuff let me know.

Oooh, I would love to play in this too. I’ve heard great things about it

Bags a spot please!
OK, I’ve yet to hear from my employers. Our floor has six rooms and a long hallway - it’d be perfect! So I’ll call them up tomorrow and try and convince them to let me use the place.

Hannah, how’re you getting on with your venue-hunt?
The place I was thinking of is the bottom floor of my mother’s house in Kelston. It has interconnecting rooms and short corridor that form a loop, and a few steps between rooms. I mentioned it to Jennifer yesterday and she didn’t seem to mind the idea.

The issue at the moment is that it has a few years of stuff accumulated, but I am hoping to get that sorted in the next few weeks. And possibly paint some of the walls to make the rooms seem more normal. Holding a larp there would be a good deadline to Get Things Done. I took some photos but they don’t really show the rooms, just emphasise the clutter.

Have you tried Brooklyn Community Centre?

We just used it for Day of Games. It has multiple spaces - 2 meeting rooms, kitchen, hallway, large hall area, storeroom - with multiple entrances, and laid out in a way which could work for a spaceship (bridge, crew area, docking bay, cargo / engineering). Not sure about price, and you’d need to dress the set (in particular, make the hall crowded / dark?)

I’m planning on booking tickets to Wellington tonight for the weekend of the 9th, June. If I book, will we have a venue?

Any progress on the Auckland front? At the end of the day we’ll make do with what we have, just tell me where we’re doing it.

Once venues are confirmed I’ll start pushing the games properly.

YES! I will ensure we have a venue.

OK, no joy from my work.

Did you like the sound of Hanna’s place, Vanya? Or should we look at one of the many community halls here in Auckland?

Such as: aucklandcity.govt.nz/council … #floorplan

If the clutter can be sorted in Hannah’s place then yes, that will work for us.

The rooms are tidy-ing up nicely, even managing a lick of paint. Are you still looking at an evening on Queens birthday weekend - the weekend after Teonn.

Yup, Friday (1st) or Saturday (2nd) whichever suits you better.

Tickets to Wellington booked. It’s all going ahead. I’ll start with the official game announcements tomorrow.

I have confirmed Jennifer is happy to have the game at her place. Friday the 1st suits me better, in case we want to go away for the long weekend.
Address is 62 St Leonards Rd, Kelston.

Hurrah!

Thanks very much for coming down and running this.
