Auckland Regional AGM - Nominations for Committee positions

NB: The Auckland Regional AGM will be held on Monday September 24th.

Nominations for nzLARPS committee positions for 2012-2013 are now being taken in this thread.

What are the requirements?
To be on the nzLARPS Auckland committee, you must be a member of nzLARPS, and be part of the Auckland region under nzLARPS definition.

Before you run, please consider the time commitment involved in being on the committee. It is important that you are aware that at the very least, you will be expected to attend a monthly meeting, participate in online discussions, and generally be available to support the society. For the success of the society and larp, the more time and effort you are able to contribute, the better.

How do I nominate someone?
To nominate someone, post below with their name and which position you’re nominating them for. They will need to accept the nomination, and someone needs to second them. You may nominate yourself.

If you are running for a position, you will need to prepare a short speech of at most two minutes length explaining what you intend to do with the role. Voting will happen at the nzLARPS Auckland Regional AGM on September 24th.

I nominate Anna Klein for treasurer, Mandos for marketing and Cameron Burns for Secretary

I would like to decline from Marketing. While I have many useful skills I am happy to bring to nzLarps marketing is not one of them

I second the nomination for Anna as treasurer

I second Cameron for secretary.

I second this nomination.

Saddly with this upcoming year - much like this year - I feel that it may not be wise for me to take on the duties of the one of the core positions on the commitee (Director, Sec, Treasurer) due to the possibility of having to miss meetings at short notice :frowning: Though I would gladly serve another term as a general officer and continue my support of the commitee how I can. When time allows I will gladly accept nominations for a more major position, but for the time being I will have to politely decline the nominations so far.

I nominate Cameron for general officer.

I second this nomination.

That nomination I will accept.

Now that I’ve resolved an a contract opportunity that involved me commuting to Melbourne for 6-12 months (I didn’t get it), I am in a position to accept my nomination for Regional Director.

I nominate Hannah Jackson for Gear Officer.

I second this nomination.
