NZLARPs Meeting Minutes 13 April
Present: Mike Curtis, Dave Luxton, Walter Hamer, Prema Cottingham, Clare Stones
Absent: Daena Schofield, Roelof van der Merwe
Start: 7:40pm
- Mike gives his apologies for next meeting – he’ll be in San Francisco for two weeks around that time.
Prema: Moves that meetings from last week be accepted: 2nd Walter / Mike. Minutes accepted unanimously.
Action points from last month to be carried over to next – eg. Walter to follow up with council regarding funding.
Discussion about IT stuff:
- Google calendar - needs to be updated.
- Need to migrate Diatribe so it’s not sitting on Craig’s server anymore – Mike to follow up with National Committee
Online happenings:
- Prema got emailed by a guy from Sky Sports – he’s interested in coming to Moonbright, as it’s a boffer LARP. He’s interested in having a go with the swords.
She also passed Crucible’s details onto him. - Bank switch over successful – Walter can access account and make payments.
Finance report:
- Pirates and Cowboys – actuals received, net profit of $81.50.
- Action Point: Walter to find Chimera 2014 actuals and post online for committee to view - so we can see what to expect for 2015.
Gear report:
- Mike took gear down to Hamilton for Jared.
- Mike needs to email storage people with a list of names of people who should have access.
- Hogwarts game – someone else might need to be gear officer for that, since Mike will be away when the next one runs - Tigger or Prema/Walter?
Marketing:
- Roelof not here today.
- Prema will send an email to remind him and Daena that they need to attend, or that they need to tell us if they can’t make it.
Note that if someone misses 3 consecutive meetings without telling the committee, they are deemed to have resigned according to our constitution. This is the second meeting Daena and Roelof have missed in a row without telling us. - Prema will email committee members as well as posting on Diatribe, to make sure that members are well and truly aware of when the next meeting is.
- Prema to put a call out for project leaders for Armageddon. We can’t let this action slip. We want a project leader or leaders that are not on the committee. Prema to ask Anna and Ellen in the first instance, as they expressed an interest late last year.

- Hogwarts Astronomy class (with actual telescope)!
- Pirates and Cowboys
Upcoming LARPs:
- Hogwarts Game 2
- Chimera: Anna requires more games for it.
- Dry Spell – They will get their project plan into us by next meeting. Will be running sometime in June.
- Moonbright (will be running on the same weekend as Dry Spell, so anyone travelling to Auckland can attend both games).
