NZLARPS helped with an article published in thewireless.co.nz yesterday, a kind of photoessay about playful social groups in New Zealand:

Thanks to Bethany Strom, Reuben Strom, Gene Rugg, Scott Marks, Norman Cates, Peter Haynes, Walter Hamer and the many others who volunteered to feature in the article or have their photos used. They didn’t end up using photos from the shoot at Crucible, instead using material from our own photographers which says something about the quality of photos you guys take I reckon.
I really like the angle of the article. Larp is framed as one of many fun social activities, and there is an emphasis on the importance of play to a healthy state of mind. Though the coverage is brief it’s a really insightful theme and I’m glad we could be part of it.
Special thanks to Beth for letting them feature her, as they wanted to focus on a single young person for each segment to make it more relatable for their target audience of young readers.
