Hi all,
We (Michelle and I) will be on site at the camp from 3pm. Under no circumstances whatsoever should anyone turn up before we do. While it’s really cool that people feel so enthused for Chimera that they queue up at Motu Moana from midday, the nice people at the camp get mad at us.
The general public can arrive on site from 6pm onwards, giving us an hour and a half to get everyone signed in, settled and ready for the initial briefing to start at 7:30pm, and the first round to kick off at 8pm.
Between 3pm and 6pm, only the following people should arrive on site:
- Out of towners
- Anyone organised to be bringing equipment on site, including trailing towing, props, and food.
- Anyone taking on an applicable job from the Help Wanted thread
- Members of the Red Hat Brigade
If you have another, valid, reason for needing to be on site before 6pm, please email me on the chimera@nzlarps.org email to arrange something.
Every year, we’ve had a lot of people turn up early to help set up. There isn’t actually that much set up to do, and it’s easier with a dozen or so people. If you’re really keen to help, please check the “Help Wanted” thread and volunteer for one of the jobs listed there - that would be really valuable to us.
