Colonel Sebastian T Rawhide’s Circus of the Spectacular (Chris)

Carnival Arcane (Donna)
It’s 1928, and the Lancaster Rigby Carnival offers what no other carnival can. Step right up, ladies and gentlemen…

Despite the success of the large circuses, several independent carnivals still tour the country in 1928. While many visitors simply want diversion and entertainment, a few seek something more, and the Lancaster Rigby Carnival is rumoured to offer what no other carnival can. The tents are up, the lights are strung, and the barker is ready to show you in….

Enter the shadow-haunted world of Midnight Syndicate’s album, “Carnival Arcane.” (20 players)
Due to phobias and such, I must ask. Will there be clowns in either feature?

I can’t speak for Sebastian T Rawhide, but Carnival Arcane is clown free.

There’s still plenty of spaces left if you haven’t signed up yet.

At the moment numbers are looking a bit small for the proposed games. I’ve sent an email suggesting possible alternatives to those who have registered. If you think you’ve registered but haven’t received an email let me know. If you haven’t yet registered but are still interested please also let me know ASAP

Due lack of numbers we’ve switched to a couple of smaller games. We will now be running “Down and Out in Middenburg” from 2-5pm and “Graduation Day” from 7-10pm. There are still some places in both games so if you are interested in coming along send me an email at catnipmousegames at gmail dot com.

Down and Out in Middenburg
"Life in Arlandia isn’t all knights in shining armour and heroes winning
pots of gold.

For the court of the Beggar King of Middenburg the deeds of Mighty Kings
and Wizards aren’t nearly so important as defending your begging spot,
avoiding being roughed up by the city watch, and finding a decent recipe
for rat stew… "

A fantasy comedy about beggars, by Donna Giltrap and Malcolm Harbrow.
May contain pus, half-orcs, and rats.

Graduation Day
The independent city-state of Tourmaline is ruled by the wizards of the White College. Prince Ambrose, the younger son of the King of neighbouring Arlandia, was sent to the White College to receive a gentleman’s education. To the surprise of many he actually passed his final exams. Today Prince Ambrose is holding the traditional graduation feast to honour the College Masters.

Character sheets have been sent out for Graduation Day, so let me know if you were expecting one and have not received it.

Unfortunately, due to illness and dropouts, neither game is viable anymore. As a result, both have been cancelled.

aw

Note thread title change.

Since no-one else looks ot be organising anything in February, we’re having another go at this. Currently we’re polling our previous players (who all received character sheets) on which day works for them. Once that’s done, we’ll make a decision on the date and whether we’re running one or both games, book a venue, and solicit extra players to fill in the gaps.

Well this is now a single feature: Graduation Day, to be run on 28th Feb

The Details:
Graduation Day
Date: Saturday 28th Feb
Time: 7:00-10:30pm
Location: Brooklyn Community Centre, 18 Harrison St, Brooklyn, Wellington
How much: $20 ($15 NZLARPS members)

A light-hearted fantasy LARP in the style of Terry Pratchett.

This is a rescheduling of the game that fell through in December. However, due to player moving city and various other mishaps we still have a free space. If you’re interested in playing then send me a pm or email (catnipmousegames at gmail dot com).
