Anything you like from Germany?

If there is anything you would like from Germany, we have still room in our suitcases and could take it with us to NZ in March.

I know things over here are probably a bit expensive for you guys, but have a look at

www.mytholon.de (only in German, but I think google can automatically translate it)

www.traak.de (some Mytholon-stuff, but own things as well)

www.andracor.de

Have a look, in most shops you can pay by creditcard and we would just pick it up and take it to you.

Do you guys have a magazine about larp/larping in Germany? If so, I’d really like a copy (even though it’ll be in German), if you could tell me how much it costs.

Yes, we do, it is called the Larp Zeit (larp times) larpzeit.de/

We have a few issues of it at home and wouldn’t mind giving them away.

I’d be really really keen  (I edit the New Zealand larping magazine, I’ll give you guys some copies of that when you’re here, if you’d like )

That would be really great!

Um yeah this

Just Kidding. Although i could almost be tempted to sell some magic cards to fund the cost to get it shipped here… lol

don’t know what material, I’ll better ask them. Well, we’re coming to NZ in March anyway and are not taking a lot of luggage with so have the room of like two suitcases and about 64 kg to take whatever your heart desires with us.

Take a look as well at eBay.de - we have some interesting offers.

Viktoria told me the plate armour is made of mild steel.

*** Mild (low carbon) steel: approximately 0.05-0.15% carbon content for low carbon steel and 0.16-0.29% carbon content for mild steel (e.g. AISI 1018 steel). Mild steel has a relatively low tensile strength, but it is cheap and malleable; surface hardness can be increased through carburizing. ***

Yeah… also a little more weight than I guess you would like to carry but a fantastic ldea for the future. I am not really a heavy armour fighter… though my friend who I am squiring to at St Wolfgangs is and would probably love some. He is making polycarbonate armour ATM.

I am more of a light weapon/shild of a greatsword fighter. No Armour and heaps of manouverability. Someone you want at your side in a battle as i am a skirmisher. I like attacking unprotected flanks.

Personally, I prefer lots of armour and lots of maneuverability. But that may just be me

That polycarbonate armour actually looks not too bad. I’m not interested myself, 'cause I have steel already, but it’s less offensive on the eye than many suits I’ve seen.

Yeah but there is always the issue of visibility and helmets. I guess you could go un helmeted. Although In larp as you generally have less of a defensive formation going on flanking and skirmishing could be your bane especially against an unarmoured opponent. And with Pate no matter how great it is made it still restricts movement more than no armour.

I prefer the stealth factor…

Death from behind… or the side… whatever takes your fancy.
