Airsoft sale at Backyard Artillery

Backyard Artillery are having a liquidation sale of all their airsoft stock and are doing some really good prices. The guns are pretty low end as far as range and accuracy go, but make really good prop weapons especially once you paint them up a bit; and hey, where else can you buy a full sized pump action shotgun and pistol for $7 US?

I figure if enough people are interested we could put together a group order to save on shipping. The only issue is that at the moment they aren’t doing international orders due to difficulties with import laws in some countries though I am currently trying to work something out with the guys over there as I have ordered from them before and not had any problems. As far as I am aware, as long as we don’t order any of the automatic weapons we should be fine.

Well count me in if yopu manage to get something sorted out

ditto

is this the kind of thing that could be used for larps like Serenity?

i would prefer them to have the red barrel ends as required by law over here for toys, since last game we did have public watching the incident out side of town.

The answer to that is red electrical tape.

I believe the guns come with the orange tip as standard, I know the ones I purchased did. I ended up painting over them with black nail polish though to make them more realistic, the idea being that if need be the orange tip can be restored simply by cleaning it off with nail polish remover.

I think if I ever go on a drug fueled shooting spree I’ll be sure to paint the end of all my real guns red… :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

righto…

But those are the coolest ones they have :frowning:

According to Mr Westie, unless all of the weapons are going to the same person, then Customs requires that the importer has a firearms dealer’s licence.

So maybe we need to find out what it takes to import in bulk so as to avoid Customs issues.

Importing in bulk will probably require a GST payment. Also, the full auto ones will be hard, if not impossible to get into the country.

However, if you have a Sig-Sauer going cheap…

.

If you go to a company that already brings in this type of thing and say “we want these guns, here is the money” they can probably deal with all the duty and customs stuff. They’ll also be able to charge a lower markup because you pay in advance and there is no risk.
