Could we add to the agenda a discussion on purchasing a First Aid Kit ASAP for the gear pool?

Good idea, plus might be worth noting which members hold current first aid certificates. On weekend game someone should be the designated first aider.

I have a first aid in the workplace certificate. Although to be honest, my memory for procedures is pretty poor.

Ten years as an Army TF medic.

Lucy got in contact with me, and is going to pay the Pirates money into the nzLARPs account.

Im WPFA as well, and hold expired Pre-Hospital Emergency Care certificate (A 3 day extension to the WPFA cert)
Actually also have done a fire-fighting course.
I have a medkit & extinguisher in the car always.

Anybody else out there got WPFA?

This can probably be discussed at the meeting but I think its the responsibility of the individual game organiser to make sure they make sure there is a first aider at their game and a first aid kit. Of course I think its a brilliant idea for Nzlarps to be able to supply the first aid kit though.

I really think we should be getting a NZLARPS Wiki up and available, then we can use this to hold lists of current available firstaiders.

It would let us have avilable online all the GM/Game organiser resources, such as venue catalogue (whatever happenned to that?) and Things To Consider When Running a Game.

I think that one of the things that NZLARPS could do which would provide immediate, useful and visible help to people running a game is to have a Wiki up with all the information resources available.

The wiki should be read-only to everyone apart from approved editors of course…

I also hold an expired PHEC cert.

I did first aid training long (long) ago, and I won’t be there tomorrow. Apologies.

I’d like to add a few items to the agenda. I have two project proposals (St Wolfgang’s Vampire Hunters and Couples: Rerun) and I have the Ravenholme Actuals for this past game, and the budget for the next Ravenholme game.

What now, TV show wants to know if larping is something they can put on the show.

We could let them film a Kids Skirmish, that would suit the demographic they are aiming at.

Two motions to put forward:

  1. NZLARPS placing an application to the Lion Fondatation for a trailor.

2 .> Association with One world by night (Auckland).
=> One World by Night will let NZLARPS promote other larps to their
players, eg someone from NZLAPRS telling the players about other larps
at the end of a game.
=> NZLARPS will promote One World by Night, eg through our website,
forum and Immersion magazine.
=> NZLAPRS will keep our calendar up to date with dates for future One
World by Night games to try and reduce clashes.

Wouldn’t it be more practical OWBN to take responsibility for their own dates and manage the dates in the calendar themselves ? I can only see work and problems for nzLARPS if we make representations to potential affiliates that we will administer the calendar on their behalf.

I agree. Give them rights to update the calendar themselves. They’re an affilliate, after all.
