I’m looking to upping my tenting, so I’m now on the lookout for a one person medieval tent. The style doesn’t bother me so much as the afforability. I do not have the time to make one so what options are there, does anyone know?

These guys have a range of tents and various bits of gear to go with it dein-larp-shop.de/gb/lagerleben.html
Paddywhack is about to start offering tents. This is the same range of tents that I will have.
I’m confident that my prices (with the NZLARPS discount) will be cheaper than what you’d get if you converted the EUR prices in that link to NZD. Especially given that you won’t have to pay the shipping. However, “medieval tent” and “cheap” aren’t really words that go together.
My recommendation for a lower-cost single-person tent would be a 4x6 bell tent, listed on that site as “Saxon Tent 4x6m”, although it’s worth noting it doesn’t come with a floor (quite common with period tents). They list it as EUR 500. That’s about NZ $790 at current exchange rates. The other one at the same price is the “Actus” which is more versatile as one whole side can open up, it’s longer and narrower at 5.6 x 2.6m.
If you want something more like a classic medieval pavilion like the “Arctic 170” then it’s going to cost more, I might be able to do it in the region of $1000. At 4 x 4m those are hardly a one person tent though, they’re a significant size.
Like I say I’m pretty sure I can do it cheaper than those prices, and without any shipping costs for you. If you’re interested drop me a PM and I’ll figure out the prices.
