Accommodation at Chimera 2013

Hi all,

The accommodation form has been emailed out to all those who have registered for accommodation for both nights. If you registered to stay only Saturday night or to tent, then you will not have received the email. If you think you should have received an email and haven’t, please email us at chimera@nzlarps.org

Behaviour Guidelines
Based on our experiences in previous years, we have a few guidelines we are putting in place this year for staying on site. We understand that for many people, this is an event where they see friends that they have not seen in some time and in general considered a fun social occasion. Alcohol is allowed on site for those who are of legal age to drink, but we ask that you drink only in moderation. Many people have put a lot of time and effort into putting on games and the convention itself, and we ask that you avoid drinking to the point where you are forcing others to look after you, unable to function the next day, or causing damage to the venue.

Chimera tends to be an exhausting and busy weekend and as such, we also ask that you keep noise levels after midnight at such a level that it does not disrupt the sleep of other attendees, or the residences around the venue. There will be a designated ‘late night’ area and all late night activity is asked to be restricted to this area. This area must be left in a clean and tidy state after each night. Make sure all rubbish and recycling is properly disposed of and the area is ready to be used for larping in the morning. Because of the level of energy required in the weekend, we strongly encourage you to make sure you get enough sleep to fully participate in and enjoy the weekend’s activities.

If we find there are those not abiding by the guidelines or receive complaints about behaviour, we may not allow them to stay on site at future Chimeras. Please make sure you respect the event, the venue and the enjoyment of your fellow attendees, and take responsibility for your well-being at the event.

By confirming your accommodation on site, you are agreeing to these guidelines. If you have any further questions about these guidelines, feel free to contact us. These guidelines are written to encourage a positive experience at the event for all.

Thanks,
Anna

If we don’t mind who we share a room with, do we have to fill out the form?

Accommodation Confirmation

I sent these out tonight. If you haven’t got one and you reckon you ought to have, drop us a line at chimera@nzlarps.org

Just to confirm: we don’t need any cutlery, right? It’s all like last years with plastic cups and plates “use-and-recycle” kind of thing?

Is there any sleeping room left anywhere in Chimera ? I.e. the crew room or something? or is it just tenting now?
