A little thing can make a big difference

A little thing can make a big difference.

Some ambulance rescuers and after hours doctors in Copenhagen have a good idea.
In almost every case of serious injury, the injured have a mobile phone on them.

But we don’t know which person on the contact list is closest to the injured.
They are now going to spread this message all over the world(what I’m doing now) - to type in a contact number under “ICE” (In Case of Emergency).
Under the name ICE there should be a person that the injured person would like to be contacted in case of an emergency.
If you have more than one person, you can use ICE1, ICE2, ICE3, etc.

This is easy to do, it’s free, and it can make a difference when needed.

Please let this idea go to all your friends, both inside and outside your own country’s borders

Thank you.

But they are not trying to sell something or troll, and it is unlikely they shall post again.

Yeah, I don’t see any reason why this should be moderated. The poster is a larper who has previously contributed larp stuff, this time mentioning something off-topic in the off-topic are. Can you give a reason to moderate?

It seems like a sensible idea, I suppose. Better if it was embedded in a universal way in the technology though. Something like an “emergency” item in all cell phone main menus, with a note from the owner including who to call, medical conditions of note, etc.

yeah why moderate this, my flatmate tells me that medics here look for it to, so this is a public service

Sorry, was in a grump mood… Didn’t see they had made previous posts and through it was some random with odd spam…

It’s a good idea, I’ve had an ICE on my cell for more than a year.

Why don’t they just look under “home”?

Working day? Maybe you live alone.
