I love how it could-be serious, eh.
May the Force be with us all.
"There are also 70,000 Jedi knights in Australia, 53,000 in New Zealand, and 20,000 in Canada."
53 thousands Jedi knights in NZ? Is it something like 1,33% of the population? (if roughly count population as 4 millions)
I think it started in New Zealand.
Hmm, I read another aticle about this and it said they had Chewie with them as well…
I don’t think it started in New Zealand.
But ok, there are 50,000 people in New Zealand who are willing to entertain the idea that they are Jedis? Clearly this country has potential for larping awesomeness, then. I’d draw a link between “calling self Jedi” and “having propensity to pretend.” Also, the word has to catch on from somewhere, so these 50,000 are probably fairly well networked.
If we could get them all to one event, at one time, it would be AWSOME. But it might be a bit hard formyself and my meager sprinklikng of NPCs to out number them.
Wait, spit them into to two groups of 25,000 a peice. Bags not getting kit for that lot.

So, especially to start with, you design games that are not costume-intensive and can be played using everything that IS available rather than not available.
This sci-fi short film (“They’re made out of meat”) is a great proof-of-concept that shows me that you can create a fantastical experience with nothing but belief.
The funniest thing is that the whole group stands for the exact opposite of what they claim they do.
They don’t want religious tolerance, they are taking the piss out of religion.
'bout time. All those imaginary friends have had their time in the sun and it’s time we admitted as grown ups that they are about as real as the tooth fairy.
search for the film “jedi street preachers” its a NZ made short film…with a few fimilar faces.
How did it happen that with such number of Star Wars fans there are no Star Wars larps in here? Well, probably those people are not that much into this particular part of acting. I’ve been asking around is there are (or are being planned) any SW larps - seems nothing.
It was a neutral comment so please don’t try to assign any positive or negative sense to it 8)
I know of a couple of free form larps that were played in the starwars setting, but they had pregenerated characters, a no weapons or combat rule, and were played infrequently really. Stella Nova ran them, talk to them about ai and see, they might be able to help if a person wanted to set one up.
