Just posting up in here to say good bye to everyone that you have all been wonderfull in the time that i have been here, however as theing seem, after waiouru i’ll probably be posted at linton (for about 3 years) and well not much in the way of larping is happening down in wellington at the moment but that could change 
Why do you “lose your freedom”? I don’t get that…
I think recruits movements are pretty restricted while they are going through basic.
Don’t bet on spending 3 years in Linton ‘twiddling your thumbs’ (so to speak) though - my brother wasn’t long out of basic before they sent him to East Timor with the peacekeeping forces. Apparently the Army wants to get real experience for its future forces.
uhh, its more to spend 3 years doing a system engineer apprentiship, but i’m not sure if there’ll be any field work involved in that.
You’d be surprised. There are times when the military likes to get everyone involved.
