1/2 day mini larp at BattleCry 2008?

Hello all,

I am posting this here to see if I can find someone who might be willing to take up this challenge for BattleCry.

I am looking for a mini introduction-to-larps larp for BattleCry 2008 (9th/10th February) that could be run on the Sunday afternoon between 1pm and 5pm. This would either be outside, or using just 1 of the rooms in the Freemans Bay Community Hall. So probably not huge numbers but flexible depending on who books/turns up.

There are several parks nearby which could be used.

Basically BattleCry is a wide ranged gaming event where you can “try something new” to see if you like it.

Is there anyone interested in writing and running something like this?

Anyone?

I’ll add I’ve been offered 1, possibly 2 mini larps which run for a couple of hours for between 8 to 14 players. If someone wanted to pick up the game and just run with it, let me know and I’ll start sorting it out.

Is that to say they’re pre-written and just need someone to run them?

Yup, all written and done, will even be playtested/run at the upcoming Kapcon I believe. So all someone would need to do is read it all beforehand, maybe a wee bit of thought to do with venue and space or props needed. Maybe even tweak if you think of something to add to it and then we advertise it, fill the spaces and run it on the day…

I really would like to offer something larpy during the daytime for those who missed out on Fri night, and for those spectators/newbie people to possibly join up to try it out.

And if we don’t get enough to run it, at least we have offered it as an option.

I’ll provide free coffee/tea/milo/hot choc with biscuits to the willing organiser for the whole weekend, even if you don’t end up running it… plus free weekend entry to BC so you can play things in the times you aren’t running something.
