So, having seen the awesome lineup, who wants to go to Phoenix?
The con this year is moving to a residential format like Chimera. The venue is Glenroy Lodge in Hororata, about an hour’s drive out of Christchurch. So, if you are travelling from out of town, you will need to allow time for getting to and from the venue somehow. They are planning some organised transport to and from the venue (either carpooling or a van). I’ve been informed that this will be departing late on Friday afternoon, between 5pm and 6pm, and leaving the venue around 5pm on Sunday once cleanup is completed. Alternatively, you can make your own arrangements for carpooling with other larpers, or hire a car.
In terms of flight times, I’d recommend an arrival time before 4pm, to allow time to collect baggage, and a departure time later than 6:30pm (which is cutting it a bit fine). We’re happy to coordinate with other travellers.
