POLL: Should nzLARPS get a stall at Armageddon Auckland '11?

[quote=“Stephanie”][quote]For live combat campaigns, I think we do alright with hooking people up with groups to give them a lead in and giving advice on how to go about their first game, but for the theatre-styles I think we could do better.

You know there is always a warm and welcome space for Noobies in Teonn with the Cormere Rangers  I can promise them a lot of fun/training/planning to have fun!

That aside, i am always willing to help in any way i can, so if you need some one for the stall i put my hand up for ‘if needed’.

Super big hand up!

Thank you Dave, Augur, Jordan and Mark! I’ll add you guys to the list. Really appreciate people stepping up!

I’m willing to step forward for this.

I should be up for Armageddon this year and would certainly be willing to spend a few hours helping out. As long as you don’t mind the corrupting influence of a Wellingtonian that is.

Thanks, Cameron and Nick! Definitely happy to have a Wellingtonian on hand, we are after all New Zealand Live Action Roleplaying Society!

We are happy to announce that our national marketing officer, Michael Andrew, is king amongst negotiators and he has reached a very favourable agreement with Armageddon. As soon as we send off the paperwork, we are confirmed for being in attendance!

Just wondering, during my time on your stall at Armageddon, if it would be okay to also hand out some brochures about the community workshop / makerspace at Tangleball? See this post for some details about the 'space if you want to know what relevance it has to LARP. We’d like to attract LARPers, cosplayer’s etc to the 'space, and this would be a great opportunity for us as well. Would that be okay?

Not that i have any say in any way shape or form, but surely only projects of NZLARPS should be advertised at the NZLARPS considering that’s what the stall is advertising, not to seem unfriendly at all just looking at it from a purely businessman perspective (i am a businessman of sorts unfortunately).

I find I have to agree for the same reasons

I reckon that telling us on the forum has done the job. We just didn’t know about it before, now that we know we’ll use it (assuming it suits/is affordable/etc). Same goes for cosplayers - go tell them on their forums.

If we get a stall (and it looks as though we will), I would be happy to man the stall. I just need the dates to see if I can do it or not. 8)
