Pathfinder

Ummmm Guys A member of the sword club was jumped on by three cops while walking to a display, and he was dressed as a viking and he wasn’t terroising anyone.

The cops on Queen St take a dim view of skinny loons dressed funny acting like idiots and disturbing the peace late at night.

and besides you guys will probably end up getting rolled for your gear and beaten up by the born agains.

Have Fun [/quote]

  1. Foam weapons.
  2. Terrorizing no louder than busking.
  3. Late at night?

  4. that look real from a distance

  5. that is not terrorizing then, it is irritating

  6. gives the Mutants lots more time to get a skinfull

as i said

Have Fun

I’m pumped! Its actually simple enough to inform the cops before hand. We did that for America’s Cup as we had fake pistols and used them outside. I reckon it’ll be cool to stroll into the cinema with a couple born again’s heads on pikes :smiling_imp:

No matter how much you warn, you could still get into trouble with stuff like that. So you just need to be prepared for it 8)
Also, you can’t predict the reaction of “normal” people around…

Ok now you are just teasing

OK sorry to be a bit of a spoil sport here guys but can we please play nice. Diatribe should be a place where everyone’s beliefs are respected and I feel a little uncomfortable with your remarks rowards the christians. Its just getting a tad personal.

Thanks

I do apologise, I think I was up a bit too late last night and started losing it.

Hey it stars Karl Urban, he was Eomer and is a Kiwi

At Lord of the Rings - Return of the King it was funny watching all the Norsemen being disarmed before they were allowed to enter the theatre. The ushers had a nice pile of weapons by the end of the night.

We were smart, in costume but no toys, therefore no trouble.

Just watched the trailer.
It looks like how LARP (or LRP) should look. If we all had $$$ to bankroll it.
Karl does brooding hero quite well I think.

Jared

It looks how larp shouldn’t look. It looks like a theme park ride should look. Brooding heroes are bad for larp.

(disclaimer: 1:20am)

Really? It didn’t look too theme parked but I guess that comes down to opinion of the indiviual.
Still Pathfinder will need to do well to met the standard set by LOTR. A high benchmark I know, and one of the intrinsic difficulties of a swords and steel movie.
