nzLARPS Annual General Meeting September 30th

Welcome, nzLARPS Wellington

Thank you to everyone that turned up last night. It was really great to have half the society there (26 in person, 11 via Skype) including some of our newest members - thanks for getting involved! I thank everyone for their patience as we struggled with Skype and worked our way through the masses of proposed changes.

I will be adding the new committee to the backstage committee forum during the day as I get a chance, and we will set the date for our first meeting. I will also be announcing an SGM, for probably in one month’s time to finish amending the constitution for regional branches.

Anna, I note Ryan’s comment. Will you guys need to vote on whether Wellington is to become a regional society? I continue to forge ahead with the paperwork side of things out of optimism, but it’d be nice to get this under wraps.

And agreed, very strongly, that not enough discussion was done online prior to the meeting. A lesson for next time, I suppose.

The central committee could vote on that online, it doesn’t have to wait for their next meeting if they consider it urgent.

EDIT: but it’s just a formality at this stage, given the overwhelming support for it. Just charge ahead I reckon.

I will initiate the voting process, at the speed of bureaucracy!

Woohoo. Thanks all!
