somewhere in the new horizons forum or here, you need to post a copy of the rules coz for those of us who didnât play requiem and are being carjooled into playing this one, we donât have copies 
hence canât make character concepts
The problem there is the rules are copyrighted so they canât post up copies. Ask around, Iâm sure you can find someone who has the book or access to the book

The Requiem rules can look daunting for someone who has never playd before. I know! I was a newbie only 2 years ago!!!
If you PM me your email address I can send you a PDF copy of the rules, if you would like help creating a character, the best way to do this is to find a player who you want to play with and knows what their doing and ask them to help you crerate a character (we really encourage linked back stories)
Otherwise I am going to discuss at teh ST meeting tomorrow night, that we hold a âCharacter Creationâ workshop day, to help new players.
Dont let the complication of the rules put you off, it is very worth it in the end, as some of the most intense roleplaying I have experienced was in the previous Requiem game.

Character creation workshop sounds like a good idea, Iâm sure we can find some time somewhere for it. I expect the others will be keen too.
Otherwise Nikkiâs right, linking yourself with another player is the easiest way to get involved. We suggest that new players might like to play âfledglingsâ - new vampires that have only been turned into vampires within the last year. That way, you have a player who is your sire who is responsible for teaching you all about vampire society. You can learn as your character does.
Iâd also suggest thinking about modern day concepts that you might enjoy playing. Start with the human, and then the vampire tends to flow from there. Why were you chosen? What was special about you that made someone decide to give you immortality?

We have decided to go ahead with a character creation day, but havenât set a date for it yet. It will probably be in late January or early February.
In the mean time, if you want to create a character concept, you can read the links posted in the Welcome to New Horizons forum, here. This has basic information about the setting, the vampire clans and the covenants.
Then you can check out our Lonely Hearts Club forum and see if there is anyone that you could link up with, to create characters that link with other players.
And if you have any questions, we are happy to help. You can ask questions on the New Horizons forums, either openly for everyone to help with, or in your personal forum if you just want to ask the STs.

hmmm⌠up to 4 pages of backstory now, but have zip clue how to transform that into a character, so yeah. me also keen.

Character creation day has been set for Sunday 31st January, at Dave and my place, from 11 am - 6pm. Feel free to come anytime during then and weâll help you with your characters.
If you already have a concept in mind, please submit it via your personal forum on New Horizons to help streamline the process.
The first game is fast approaching and so far we have only received a handful of character sheets.
Please send us your character sheet as soon as possible for consideration.
If you are having trouble creating a character sheet, start by creating a starting character and adding what you think is appropriate for your âcharacterâ. Dont worry about asking for too much or too little, we will be evening people out. (We wont laugh at you promise)
If you have no idea how to create a starting character, please come along to the character creation day at Rowenaâs house on the 31/01/2010. Starts at 11am finsihing at 6pm.

Does this chronicle have events on a regular day, like first/second/third Sat/Sun of the month?
Itâs the last Saturday of the month. So in months where there are 5 Sat, weâre running on the 5th.
Except for when it isnât. Weâve changed the date to the third Sat in April, August and November to avoid clashing with already booked events.
March - Sat 27 (4th weekend)
April - Sat 17th (THIRD weekend due to a clash with Serenity)
May - Sat 29 (5th weekend)
June - Sat 26 (4th weekend)
July - Sat 31 (5th weekend)
August - Sat 21 (THIRD weekend due to clash with Chimera)
September - Sat 25 (4th weekend)
October - Sat 30 (5th weekend)
November - Sat 20 (Third weekend due to clash with Teonn)
December - No Game.

Are NPCs ever needed for this? My boyfriend is coming to Teonn but is keen to try an evening game before that; since he hasnât LARPed before he doesnât want to commit to a PC for a monthly game.
