Have a look around online for brush presets to use. I would say one of those trendwhore circles things, but modify it up a bit. Or something like that.
Folks – this is honestly how Ian and I communicate.
's a perfectly good method of communication!
oh and when you come home for dinner too. but you havn’t done that recently, you must not be as broke as usual.
but now we are getting horribly off topic!
back on topic, I think we should have more than one idea in the brainstorm for a symbol thing. What do people think, should it be a recognisable form such as a human, like Mercury Energy:

or something a bit more abstract, but gets repeated so much that people recognise it like:

or something to do with the letters like:

I was more questioning the idea of real life form vs adbstract.
After all, flowers have nothing to do with bp:

but that still makes a very good and recognisable logo for them.
Yes, but BP are a commodity company that are using an abstracted flower to make what they do seem nice and fluffy.
We’re a hobby that emphasises interpersonal communication. We don’t need to make what we do nice and fluffly, it already is. Why not emphasise the aspect of the hobby that makes it different from tabletop roleplaying and online computer games?

fantastic. Anyone else got a view?
I finally found time to take a look at this image. It’s very similar to the concept I was thinking of when I made my submission for the competition (row of mundanes, larper flying out of the formation).
I’ve never liked the ‘splats’ though. Just looks too messy, to me.
The human image (suitably simplified, maybe) seems to me to be a key ingredient in the logo, for reasons already mentioned. Thats why I like the jumping shillouette so much.
OK, the website have granted us permission to use the shape, seemingly on condition that the person is not recognisable - and we can’t use the original source as a photograph. So that saves us from doing our own photography at least. Unless we want to.

Its a flower? I was under the impression it was a bursting Nucleolus, or a splitting atom. And here I was hoping we would all be driving about in Atomic powered cars. Oh well, may be in the future.

“Mummy, what happened to that city you used to live in? Acklind was it?”
“Well darling, someone crashed their new atomic car and we all had a nuclear melt down, which destroyed all the city and gave me this extra arm.”
yeah, good idea Raoul.
Well, after so long of slackness, I’ve finally got the logos I designed ages ago online here, and also a simplified version more in lines with the new brief.
I’ve had a go at a couple of colour ones (mainly just to show it can be done) and you can see what they look like in white or black background.
I’m not going to put direct links to them here cause I don’t really know how, so here are the links:

Hopefully this may start the flow of creative juices to other brains again and we can have some more entries.
