Oooh Im a bit late here.

Can I suggest a new category for the awards: Best original LARP game.

This would inspire people to create more unusual LARPS (eg, the May Day larp and similar) that - while still LARPs - are extending the range of the genre. Not all LARPs are swords-and-sorcery with padded weapons, of course.

All sounds good, although I suspect it may end up a bit US-centric if it is absed in the US, has awards ceremonies there, and doesn’t have enough presence in Europe and elsewhere (eg, NZ) to balance things out.

Not late at all, the discussion on categories is still in progress.

If people want to come to the awards forum and discuss the various aspects that’d be great. The forum needs some activity to get it rolling fully.

When this project first began people from all over were more than happy to voice their opinion about what they did and did not want in a LARP/LRP award and enthusiastic about a grass roots project aimed at creating a LARP/LRP Award through community participation.

I do not nor will I do all the work on this, as this award was created as a community project for LARPers/LRPers from around the world to participate in. As a community project it requires community participation for it to thrive and succeed. I’m the moderator and the coordinator, not the sole decision maker in this project.

People have spoken up and many have shared how they think that a community created LARP/LRP award is a great idea. Now I need your help to make it happen. What can you do to help with this project right now? Participate in the forum discussions and share your opinions and thoughts and place a banner on your web site if you have or administer one or in your forum signature area of LARP/LRP forums you post in.
