Information on Chimera 2010 - Call for help and games

“Zombie apocalypse” games need not apply. I’ve had a half dozen submitted to me already, so please no more zombie apocalypse games.
does this mean there will be a zombie apocalypse game?
Or an actual zombie apocalypse?
To be honest I am happy either way but I would like my friends to be alive in the aftermath…

hi anna,

speaking of a genres, are there any genres that are looking over or under represented?

the political one seemed stand outish last year because it was so cutting edge in terms of genre. ditto for colonial NZ requiem.

Looking at the games we’ve been offered so far, the genre breakdown is as follows:

We’ve got four modern games so far (two comedy, two dark-occult), we’ve got a historical social comedy, a gothic romance, one sci-fi, two standard fantasy plus an oriental fantasy. There is possibly a steampunk game offered. Then there are X number of White Wolf-based games where X is the number of the Auckland White Wolf campaigns that run a stand-alone game. X is an unknown number right now.

Modern seems to be winning this year in terms of over-representation.

The Bad Dreams game will have a Western spin on dark occult.

Gothic romance? Ooooh.

Is there going to be another St Wolfgang’s one off? I’d like to try it some time, but can’t afford more than one trip up to Auckland a year right now.

I believe Matt will be running something similar on Friday night.

Western? Like the other game you’re writing for Chimera?

I think maybe he means western as in the western world, modern. I may be wrong though

Only in a completely different fashion.

wasn’t quite sure were to post this but im always bringing it up for catering for larps so i tohught idd say it again

www.theloft.org.nz

super delicious healthy food, massive amounts cus its hare krishna food, and also cheap because of that too! i cant speak for them about how much it costs, they might charge different for an orgonisation, but for me they were more than reasonable when i looked into hiring them to cater for about 50 people.

highly, highly reccomend it.

Steampunk?! Awesome

OH NOES!

I just re-read this forum… (been computerless for about two weeks now) and got instantly into panic mode when I read Anna’s reply to my comment earlier on…

Anna, I’m so sorry if I missed the first meeting!I apologize profusely if I did!!!

I’m going to shamefully go check my email inbox now…

first meeting? I cant see any evidence of any meeting in the above thread…

I did say somewhere there would be a meeting in February. But then my February vanished. Kiki, you haven’t missed it - it’s been shifted to early March. After Battlecry is over, I should actually be able to organise something.

Ahahahah!!! xDDD

Sweet, I got your PM, Anna… and read teh ‘Organisers Meeting’ thread… and PM’d you back

Glad to know I haven’t missed it!!! Man… This month is guna be SOOO busy! >.<

If you’re struggling with providing all the information we need, please feel free to talk to us about it, as there is flexibility in some areas.
