“They knew it was coming.
For three days the acolytes had been chanting, voices ragged, spears thrusting defiantly up at the sky. The chiefs, locked in fervent discussion, hadn’t come out at all; not even to murmur a soothing assurance to their people huddled outside. Even the children were quiet, held close by their mothers. Occasionally a baby would whimper, the cry quickly muffled by a firm embrace, and then silence prevailed again. All else was forgotten as they sat, waiting, praying. On the fifth day It came, suddenly. Spinning it’s brilliant light over their upturned faces, scattering everything with sand. The sound drowned out all else, even the frenzied acolytes with faces strained with pain and determination. The chiefs themselves stumbled out, against the lashing wind, and all eyes rose to watch as it descended.
They knew it was coming.
But they never knew what it would bring.”

Danielle (ran the 1930’s larp) and Alex (runs the In Nomine larp) are the storytellers of this larp.
