And heck you can pick up the cheapy hand cocked springers for like $20-30
erm - are gas bb guns not allowed here?
because i might have one that arrived in a shipment from the ukcough
I’ve seen them in shops, and had a friend in Welly whos glock-rep was particularly good against sparrows
Theres a store in Te Awamutu that has quite a good range of spring powered BB guns. Plastic, alloy, composite. Pistols, SMG’s, MP5’s, AK47’s, shotguns (3 BB’s a shot). Pistols from $30 ranging up to $250 for the assault rifles. The best buy (pistol) was an alloy cased pistol for $45, with a 45m range.
Still, I am sure theres somewhere just as good up in Auckland, just saying they had a good range.
That’s sick, man. Shooting small birds with bullets that don’t necessarily kill them but still inflict injury is inhumane.
erm - are gas bb guns not allowed here?
That will depend on the gun restrictions for each game. Right now I’m looking at making the first game just the low-powered springers. However, assuming success of early games, and the enthusiasm of the players, there may well be games that allow higher powered guns in the future There is also however the concern of mechanisms and rates-of-fire. Most gas guns are semi-automatic, but all springers, by their very nature, are manual guns - it might provide a somewhat unfair advantage to have a gun that you can just pull the trigger a second time to fire

If I’m running a game, and find that you’ve shot or otherwise harmed an animal without a very good reason (the only one I can think of is self-defence, but that’s not likely to come up legitimately), you’ll be told to leave, and likely banned from further games I run.

However, it turns out there’s more stores than I realised sell cheap little springers around town.
