St. Wolfgang's Vampire Hunters: Revelations

Strength, courage and faith has seen the Order of St. Wolfgang through many dark times in their hunt against the greatest enemy of Christendom. And now, things are more grim, and the stakes higher than ever before. The Order is in keen pursuit of the weapons to destroy its unholy quarry, but Mephistopheles is now poised to strike down those that would threaten his immortality. Against the relentless forces of hell, will you stand strong? Will your faith be enough?

Will you kick arse for the Lord when the fate of all Christendom depends upon it?

The exact details of the scenario will be determined by the outcome of the day game taking place beforehand.

Where: Stedfast Park, Piha

There are a maximum of 35 player spaces at this game. Both crew and player must pay to secure their place.

Important Information for PCs
If you are a new PC, we need to receive your character sheet by no later than midnight May 1st. If you fail to provide a character sheet, you will be switched to crew.

If you are a returning PC, please send us a character update which should include any major changes that have befallen the character and any XP expenditure, so we have up to date records on everyone's character stats, goals and histories. If you fail to update your PC by midnight May 1st, you will not be able to spend XP until after the game.

One of the reasons the last few games have been excellent PC experiences was because we had received everyone's character sheets in a timely manner before the game, giving us plenty of time to familiarise ourselves twith the PCs, their histories, and goals, and to write them into the game script. Help us achieve this again by promptly providing character information.

ALL CHARACTER SHEETS, QUERIES AND AMENDMENTS ARE TO BE SENT TO stwolfgangs@gmail.com

Please do not PM us about them. If character sheets and amendents are PMed to us rather than the above email, we cannot guarantee they will end up on your character.

No major changes are expected to be made to the rulebook at this stage.

There is no "downtime" at our game in the traditional sense - "downtime" is a mechanic that occurs in other games where players may accomplish game/plot related activities to further their in-game goals. People are encouraged to let us know how their characters fill in the time between the games if they feel it's important but it will not have "plot significance" - you may use this to develop backstory or to represent picking up the skills you spend your XP on.

For example, you can say "Brother Emmanuel spends a lot of time in libraries researching plants, and he also trains with his new friend Captain Marcus in the use of a sword (I spent my XP on buying Lore: Apothecary, Lore: Plants and Sword use). He also returns to his home monastery to try and explain to his abbott why he has been absent and is horrified to find that his monastery has been burned to the ground with no survivors! After doing what can be done, Brother Emmanuel returns to fighting vampires."

An example of something you couldn't do is: "Brother Emmanuel spends a lot of time researching vampire myths of Eastern Europe and with the help of Captain Marcus, they capture one of Mephistopheles' more powerful minions and they torture him for information. GMs, let me know what information he gains from his research and interrogation. Captain Marcus and Brother Emmanuel send word to their fellows about the locations given up by the tortured vampire. Oh and I spend my XP on Lore: Apothecary, Lore: Plants and Sword use."

I hope this clears up any confusion. With regards to XP, it's a bit of a process deliberating between the four of us, but we've almost settled the last few debates and we're hoping to have XP out in the next week or so.

Or, perhaps people are a little busy trying to get GM teams together, finalise venues, plan day-games, and juggle many other balls that have started rolling as the Wolfgang's engine starts to build up momentum again and need more than 5 and 1/2 hours to respond. OR they're already discussing it via PM. Stop being a punk, dude :|

Thats as maybe however considering that a post was made by one of the gm's after the offer was made and yet no mention of: Thanks for the offer / we are thinking about it / we are arranging stuff and will be with you soon was applied to said gm's post.

Common decency towards a repeat volonteer...
