I hope to be there and finally play my nadhragh character... just to give the not so faithless a run for his money :)
Unfortunately being a slave means no finery for me... not looking forward to the chains... seems a little bullying of my master is in order

however it is the weekend astra leaves for like ever so I will confirm closer to the time

Ok, character background already up to 7 pages. Not quite as many as Darnon. Yet. Still I have plenty of time to add and edit and crop. Theres lots to cover for 30 odd years of background... lots of people to piss off or allies to find...

As I promised Jared on Facebook, I will be coming -as long as I can get the weekend off, that is. As a newbie to this game, has anyone got advice to give? Are there summaries of past games written that I could read to catch up? I haven't decided what race I'll be yet and want some idea of the inter-racial dynamics for Multiverse, so if anything comes to mind can someone post it?

So Jenna,
My fault huh? I'm a newbie to this game too, so we're in the same boat. Thanks to being a busy new Dad, I haven't had a chance to read up on much yet. I'll flick you a PM on some ideas I've had in regards to Europa (where the next game is set). Mike is busy answering a deluge of questions from me, so maybe he'll have some ideas for you as well.

Also, other people. Come play Multiverse!

Sorry, be away on a mega-road-trip and am only just getting things back on track...

Anyway, the rules are scheduled for a minor revamp - including more info along the lines of what you've raised, as well as improving areas such as Alchemy. I'll start a thread on that to gather feedback and ideas.

In terms of inter-racial dynamics, many of the races have little to do with each other because they come from different planes of existence. Very few can travel between planes, and interplanar travel is a fraught, uncertain business, so no formalised egress exists between planes. Happily, the PCs are among those that are able to navigate the esoteric pathways between planes, although not usually at will, more as and when the time is right. It is intentionally obscure to avoid a space-opera situation.

So, who knows who ?

Granbretanians are from Europa, just like the Europans. However, Granbretanians are hellbent on oppressing the entire plane so they are pretty much at war with everyone else (i.e. Europans).

Vadhagh and Nhadragh are ancient enemies, but now that their numbers are small and they have a common enemy (Mabden) and the Nhadragh are universally enslaved, they are no longer at war. Even so, their wars were always conducted in a spirit of honour and chivalry. Both hate the Mabden, and whenever Mabden meet the Vadhagh, there is often bloodshed.

The Young Kingdoms was ruled for 10,000 years by the Melniboneans. Eventually they isolated themselves on their island, and ignored the so-called barbarians, until the reign of the last emperor - Elric. Melniboneans get on OK with the Young Kingdomers, although some may harbour a resentment about the fact that those that reaved the Melnibonean city of Imyrr were Young Kindomers. However, since most a freebooters, they mainly have problems with whoever their employer tells them to have a problem with ;) OTOH, some Young Kingdomers feel that Melniboneans were an arrogant bunch who finally had their comeuppance.

Oh... Oh shi... *The sound of an axe exploding through Vadhagh can be heard from nearby*

The initial post has been updated with more information about the setting.

This game will be based in the Young Kingdoms, although it may be to venture into other planes (for specific quests) if the opportunity arises.
