Just a reminder that nominations close on October 8, 2014, so if you want to nominate someone to the committee, you need to get in quick.

edit: Corrected date. Mea culpa etc.

I accept the nomination.

The first post says that the nomination deadline was pushed back to the 8th, because the AGM was pushed back a week.

I accept the nomination for National Marketing Officer.

E-voting instructions will be posted once nominations have closed.

The NZLARPS National AGM will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, from 7pm. The venue is 18 Faulder Ave, Westmere. The Auckland AGM will be held at the same location from 7:30pm; details on that will be handled by the Auckland Secretary.

We need a large number of participants for quorum, so if you cannot attend please vote by email.

The business to be conducted is as follows:

  • Review minutes of previous AGM;
  • Approval of accounts;
  • Reports from current committee members;
  • Election of a returning officer for email votes;
  • Election of a committee;
  • Motion 1:
    That the first sentence of section 32 (Financial year) in the constitution be replaced with the following:

“The financial year of the Society shall end on the last day of August in each year at which date the annual statement of accounts shall be prepared for submission to the Annual General Meeting.”

(Background to this motion is here: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=9874#p125240)

Because of the requirement for email voting, no nominations or amendments will be accepted from the floor.

Any member may vote by email. At the start of the meeting a returning officer will be elected who will have the responsibility of tallying up the votes. To vote, email your ballot (below) to: nzlarps2014agm@gmail.com. Email voting is not anonymous but only the vote counter will be able to see the emails, and they will subsequently be deleted.
