Chimera Would Like To Borrow

Oh yeah, and any particular kinds of books, I have … alot :open_mouth:

It’s not blue, and there is no cage, but I can source a parrot.

Er, flying free in the fjords has brought out its fiery spirit. (Stuffed toy, not feathered skin stretched over a fake corpse.)

Books/bookshelf can in fact be a large picture of a bookshelf, as from experience I am aware actual books and shelves have large mass and volume. It’s the setting for a bookshop I’m after, so a handful of books for the shop counter works just fine. Literature of any sort, though anything with a Monty Python reference hidden in it would be amusing.

If I can find it, I can bring the complete scripts for Flying Circus. Although that is a tad meta…

Hmmmm, will look at my shelves / boxes of books and see what I can come up with. As for
Books/bookshelf can in fact be a large picture of a bookshelf
I would get a single sheet and paint a bookcase with books onto it, easy to hang on a wall  And then you can make up titles too

-Working Video cameras.
I have 2x SD Card Camcorders.

-SciFi props.
Have a medium, 30cm, and small 5cm.
plasma ball.

Also a small jacobs ladder, don’t touch when running, 1m away should be safe

Oh! Please can I borrow the Jacob’s Ladder on Sunday morning?!?!?!?!

Zara, sure

Medical scanner, you can’t go wrong with the thermal imager

We did the Great Annual Chimera Shopping Day on Saturday, and managed to get almost everything everyone asked for, even the snake, the lifesize dog (it comes up to my hip!), a 300l cauldon, a parrot nailed to a perch in a cage (it’s a green parrot but other than that) etc, etc, etc.

This is what we are still missing:
1 CLEAN pair of underpants
7 red stones
1 set of false teeth
Medical Scanner Prop
2 wooden bowls

If anyone has any stuffed animals that they’re not desperately attached (i.e. not cherished childhood relics) that they’d be willing to lend for Stop That It’s Silly, please pipe up - we only need about four.

Also: The Dinner Party Box - if anyone has old plates, glasses and cutlery they no longer want, I’ll be collecting donations for nzLARPS at Chimera. I’m aiming to set up a box of modern plates, glasses etc so that dinner party games in future can actually have plates and things!

Does anyone know where the gazebos are that were brought up for Teonn? They were the shrines in the upper room of the inn. Who did they end up with?

Regarding underpants - I think anyone’s actual underpants would probably squick everyone out, but you can get basic ones at some dollar stores

You bought a cauldron?!

They are in the gear shed…or thats where I left them. I’ll check when I go on down.

If its for the game I think it is, then perhaps a single clean pair of undies from a cheap shop still in its wrapper would make the gamers happy. Take it out of the wrapper at the beginning of the game so people know they are super clean?! I didn’t touch the ones at our game, but I personally would have been happy too, even though someone wore them “To keep them warm”.

Sorted this one

Does anyone have a spare aquarium we could borrow?
Any size considered, pick up available. Stones in the bottom optional.
Required for Saturday night.

Does anyone have some large blocks of polystyrene I could use? Looking for one kinda box-shaped, and two thick sheets, say 10cm thick and 70cm or more in height/width. These are not so much to borrow, they’ll be turned into props.

Do they need to be solid blocks of polystyrene? I have about thirty roughly brick shaped hollow polystryene packing boxes that I saved in case they were useful for larps  :stuck_out_tongue:

I think my parents have a spare one, with stones, it is glass though and quite heavy.

I can get hold of it if you need, but if anyone else offers something else lighter that would be better

It is also rather far away for pick up :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks Zara, that could be suitable for one of the things I’m doing. Will PM you to chat.

Still in need of a large box-shaped piece (could be hollow box with 5 sides), and a big slab.

We have sourced one already thanks, so one less thing for you to do.
